Of key importance is footplant– are you a pronator, supinator or neutral runner? With a few questions, a good look at your legs and feet, checking the wear on any current shoes you have we will establish which category you are. Following discussion on the amount and typeofrunning you are doing, or plan to do, we can then offer a selectionof shoes that will provide the correct cushioning and stability. Once you have tried them and we have watched you run in them (don’t worry – not miles!) you can be assured your chosen pair will be the best fit possible. Don’t forget they will break down as you pound out the miles so you will need to replace them at some time!! See Products
Hydration is of prime importance, and not just water but the balance of electrolytes too. Couple this with carbohydrate, the easiest source of energy for the body to use, which is also required to keep you going. We stock a variety of energy bars, gels and drinks for before, during and after your runs. These will help build and maintain your energy levels for all that hard work and ease the recovery in readiness for the next session or race. Choice is often personal as to what suits your palate and digestion and it is well worth trying them in training to find what suits you best before using it in an event. See Products
